These dumbbells are my first my real piece of home gym equipment and I cannot recommend them enough. It's incredibly easy to adjust the weight, the knurling feels great, and they actually feel like dumbbells when used during various exercises.

Just got my dumbbells the other day and I'm very pleased. I live in Phoenix, so I need equipment that can handle the heat. These should do very well, no plastic! easy to use and definitely worth the money!

First off, these things are built tough. The knurled handles feel comfortable in your hands and honestly these feel just as good as real DB’s. I also got the 120lb extension kit to go along with them. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time.

I wanted adjustable dumbbells so they didn’t take up a ton of space: did lots of research and I’m thrilled with them. They are made to last. No plastic parts that might break or overly complicated bells and whistles - just solid, well-designed engineering. Love that they are square so you can put them down and have them stay put. Worth the investment as I know we’ll have them for years and years.

Like many others I spent a lot of time reviewing adjustable dumbbell sets. And in the end, I'm really happy with the purchase. My Ironmaster dumbbells are high quality, easy to use, requires minimal storage space, and the 75lb set is the enough weight for almost all of my endeavors. These are the perfect adjustable dumbbells for any garage gym.

I was considering a lot of different adjustable dumbbells before getting these. Many of then used plastics, internal gears that could give out, docking stations that are required just to adjust weight, and many more complicated and silly designs. But these were simple and had the normal dumbbell feel.
I like that the construction is all metal material, and I don't have to worry about parts breaking because of a drop (haven't dropped them yet, I'm confident they'll be fine). Some videos I have seen talk about it being slower to change weights, but its not slow at all. I keep my plates organized so changing plates is quick and the pin design makes it even easier to remove or add plates. Also, the flat bottom is very comfortable when you got to rest it on your thighs.
Makes my garage gym complete.

The ironmaster adjustable dumbbells are fantastic. They are all metal which really makes them feel durable compared to others with lots of plastic components. All dumbbells pieces and weights were shipped with proper protection so everything arrived in good condition (surprising how many expensive companies don't protect their shipped product).
Only had the dumbbells for a month so far, but they have worked great. Really like the fact that they feel like regular dumbbells and it feels normal to do dumbbells exercises with them. Will update review if anything changes my opinion as I use them over the coming months to years.

On the one hand, I wish these weren't so expensive. On the other, the material and production quality is such that I expect these dumbbells to become a family heirloom fought over in wills for generations to come. No plastic to be found!
The knurled handles and the size increase with weight (rather than weird protrusions or other compromises) are the other things I considered after the quality. The idea that I can extend the set to add more weight or switch to using a kettlebell handle is a nice added bonus.

Excellent adjustable dumbbell. Very solid construction. Fit and finish of handles, weight plates and locks is top notch. Ability to add weight in the future is a huge advantage over other adjustable dumbbells.

I really love these dumbells. Great product, very well made works great for me needs. What I love about them is they are mo bigger than they need to be so you don't have extra bar length hanging out on the ends, you can keep them close to your body

These are some of the best dumbbells' I have ever worked with. I love the size of these dumbbells', they feel similar to dumbbells' from a commercial gym and do not feel "blocky" or awkward like some other brands of adjustable dumbbells' have tried in my experience. There is no wobble while you are using them and after about 2-3 workouts of getting used to changing the weights, I could change the weight to whatever I needed in 30-60 seconds so perfect during rest periods and that has only gotten faster with more experience. Overall I would say if you want an adjustable set of dumbbells' that can be thrown around and will outlive you, then these are the perfect dumbbells' for you.

This is an awesome set. Fast set to make changes (Not plastic fast, but no plastic to break either. Upgraded from P. Blocks and not looking back. I always felt restricted with the exercises and your hand in a cage with the Power Blocks. I also can never force myself to invest this much money into a plastic DB Set. Sooner or later you will drop the plastic ones and they will break. Not to mention that if you lift in the winter and in an unheated garage. the plastic will become even more brittle.

I was looking for the right set of dumbbells for my garage gym. I'd been making due with bands and bare plates since I set up my gym during COVID but that situation wasn't the best for results. Based on the reviews here and on YT from the well known reviewers I decided to go with the Ironmasters plus the heavy handle kit, 120# Add-On set and a Kettlebell. I really couldn't be happier. The overall quality is really good but the details stand out. The knurl and grip diameter is just about perfect and changing plates is quick and easy enough. The square shape lets me use them as push-up handles and the fact I can drop them if needed is a huge plus. Also, the flat ends make resting them on my thighs comfortable. If you need a set of DBs that go heavier than 75-80# and can be dropped these are definitely the correct choice.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It doesn't take up much space, easy to assemble, easy to add and remove weight, you can do any movement just like with regular gym dumbells, and they feel like regular dumbells. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase!

Have had them for only a few weeks but so far they're great. Quality seems good - they're super solid and there's no jiggle on the plates if you've properly tightened the screw. The time to change weights is, as expected, longer than other options where you twist a knob, but it's not prohibitively long and works well as a rest between sets. The only issue i could see is if you'd like to do circuit exercises - then the adjustment time would be an issue. Otherwise the adjustment mechanism is super easy. Overall a great product.

Absolutely love these dumbbells. I went with Iron Master because I wanted adjustable dumbbells I could drop and would last forever. I’ve been using these for a solid month and I’m fairly certain they will last through the apocalypse. I’m not sure how rust-free they will be after a few summers in the Houston humidity, but I’m confident. I wouldn’t hesitate thr pull the trigger on these again. Oh, and the stand is top notch as well - be sure to get that for your setup.

Perfect product for those who value quality & invest in their fitness / health. These have a great feel that mimics traditional DBs. The quick-lock is secure and I have no concerns about equipment failure during the middle of difficult sets. They also fit in my very small footprint home gym, and are invaluable for providing much needed exercise variety. Simply fantastic, and looking forward to getting strong enough to need the heavier expansion!

I bought these after debating whether to buy the twist-adjust DBs that adjust instantly and I'm very happy with my decision. These DBs feel like you're lifting a solid piece of metal because there's no movement whatsoever between the plates. There's a lifetime guarantee but I'm not worried at all that these will break.
Changing the plates is fast but not instant. The only thing you can't do is a drop set. However, you can combine these with other equipment to do a super set. Rest assured though that you can easily change the weights in time between traditional sets.
The "plate math" is super simple and there's plenty of room on the PRO stand to keep all of the weights that come in this set (2 stacks of 5 lb plates and 1 stack of 2.5 lb plates). You can also increment the weight by 2.5 lbs by adding an extra 2.5 lb. plate to one side (twist-adjust DBs increment by 5 lbs).
I highly recommend the heavy plate handle kit to improve the balance. It makes the lightest weight 20 lbs but because it improves the feel, I think it's worth it to get it and buy 15 lb. DBs if you need them.

These dumbbells are beasts. The quicklock system is much more stable than camlock style dumbbells and the plate design makes for a very compact package. While they tend to get long as they get heavier, that length isn't a hindrance as it allows the weights to be slim, giving a better range of motion than variable dumbbells using larger plates.

After doing extensive research on various adjustable dumbbells, I zeroed in on Ironmaster’s quick lock set. I just received them a few weeks ago and they are great! Very rugged and well made. Should last a lot longer than their plastic competitors. I also ordered the curl bar that works with the dumbbells’ weight plates. Overall, I’m very satisfied with everything!

Having been a precision machinist for over a decade I can say these are one of the highest quality designs Ive ever seen. They lock so tight its amazing. They proprietary locking shaft is ingenious. They have replaced countless pairs of fixed DB’s. If you are looking for an investment thats well worth the money, these live up to the hype and then some! These are solid!

I didn’t realize I could love a piece of equipment so much. The dumbbells with stand look great in the home gym, and I’m extremely impressed with the build quality. They are absolutely bombproof and I’ve got no worries that these will last a life time. Shipping was quick once they were in stock, and to be honest it was also some of the best packaging of equipment I’ve ever received. In total it came in 6 boxes, each plate individually wrapped, all items could survive a nuclear winter. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an adjustable dumbbell and after using all of the other “competition” in the past I’m absolutely sure the Ironmasters are the clear winner.

I'd been looking at these for awhile. Bought the Super bench and a bunch of the exercises so I know ironmaster is good, but these are pricey and hard to find in stock. Finally bit the bullet and bought them when they were in stock. All Ironmaster stuff is good, but these things are even a step up from their normal stuff. The dumbells look like a work of art. More importantly they work great and I've already worked up to using 80's on incline bench. Highly recommend the dumbell spotter as well. Without it I don't think I could lift nearly as much.
