In addition to added protection, the rubber coating helps minimize noise in your home gym while exercising. Each plate is embossed with the Ironmaster logo.
These plates have some natural rubber odor, as with all rubberized weights, however the odor is lower than most other brands. You should expect some smell if used in an enclosed space when new, but this will diminish over time as they are exposed to the air. Weight tolerance is +/- 3%.
