Ironmaster Olympic weight plates are steps above competitor substitutes featuring a durable rubber encasing that helps protect your home gym floor and other surfaces against the hard metal surface that other brands of Olympic plates have. In addition to added protection, the rubber coating helps minimize noise in your home gym while exercising. Our customers that exercise early in the morning love this feature as it helps keep them from being too loud while lifting and causing unwanted disturbances in the house, especially those with young children that they don't want to wake up. Each plate is embossed with the Ironmaster logo.
These plates have some natural rubber odor, as with all rubberized weights, however the odor is lower than most other brands. You should expect some smell if used in an enclosed space when new, but this will diminish over time as they are exposed to the air. Weight tolerance is +/- 3%.

I have generic bumper plates in my home gym and wanted to keep in the style of those for my small weights instead of the cast plates you usually see at the gym. These are perfect miniature versions of the big plates. I got 2.5 and 5lb and they look tough and quality is very good.
