I purchased these hooks so I could use a different bar with angled grips that works better with my elbows and shoulders. The bar I have isn't the standard width at the hook, but a little oversized. As a result, it doesn't sit at the bottom of the hook, but almost wedges in the hook which makes it difficult to lift up sometimes. This does not negatively reflect on the amazing quality and ease-of-use of these hooks, but is something to keep in mind if you have a unique bar like myself.

These allow me to go all out safely. I was able to find sweet spots that provide full-motion yet still be extremely safe when going to failure. Great alternative when you can't have a spotter.

As someone else mentioned I also have the old style. I made them a bit quicker to install by using a square wire lock pin used with trailering and hitches. But this up date looks really nice and I like that it's used for the spotting arms that I was thinking of getting. I've had my IM2000 and Super bench for over 10 years and it was a great investment in my fitness!

Work great, easy to adjust, and instantly turns your IM2000 into a free bar half rack. My only complaint is that there isn’t any rubber or protective coating on the parts where the barbell makes contact. If you have a bar with aggressive knurling, it can scrap the paint off of these. That’s easy enough to put on yourself though.

A must have. I have the older version bar holders and while very solid they took too long to put on. The new version is almost effortless to put on and not to mention adjust to the right lock ports very quickly. Along with the spotters, you have your self the most versatile rack on the planet in a small package. Highly recommended if you decide on the IM2000, they are built tough!

Great product to add a free weight element to the IM2000. This and the spotting arms were the deciding factor for me to purchase my IM2000. I appreciate the ability to effectively have a 1/2 rack option for bench press and squats and I have used these many times. The do their job well.
