Valuable add on for a home gym especially if you have the plates. From a fit guide, I’m 5’9 180 lbs and it fits well but rubs a bit on my arms next to my chest. If I was planning to run with this it might be a problem but I’m using mainly for body weight resistance training (push ups and pull ups).

High quality and smart design - it's just what I expect from Ironmaster. I'm enjoying it and my two teenage sons are having fun with it too. Fits a wide range of body types as I am 6'2" 195lbs and one of my sons is 6'8" and 330lbs.

I am a female 5’4’’ 145 pounds with a full C chest. This vest fits just fine though I was a little skeptical with the description for the build. I can comfortably wear it with plenty of weight for my workouts. Huge benefit is that it works with our adjustable weights therefore it’s been a space saver for our RV garage!

I have had Iron Master adjustable dumbells for several years and LOVE. Super solid. I saw the vest when I was visiting the site and thought could be a great add for walks and maybe “weightless” leg training….step ups, lunges, etc. it is well made and solid. I’ve enjoyed walking with not crazy weight, but the additional definitely pushes you more. It is a no brainer add if you have the dumbells. I’m pleased with the add for my purposes. I don’t partake in weighted dips or pull-ups it’s hard enough for me without additional weight! Good add for variety type workouts for sure. :)

I got this mainly for weight ring pushups specifically but also intended to use it for dips and pull ups. It's very wide and very inflexible even when empty. I actually can't completely get my arms together at the top of a push up and that's even when only the back is loaded because it's the pockets that are too bulky. I've switched back to a plain backpack which is disappointing after spending this much.
That issue affects dips as well but not chin ups. That being said a belt is a better solution for both of those anyway. I use an old ring strap as a dip belt and that can work with IM plates. Might be ok for inverted rows but even then you just can't move your shoulders very freely.
It's also a very scratchy material. That's just a nitpick though, I can put on a shirt for a few sets.
Overall I do wish I hadn't gotten this but I can still get some use out of it.

We have a lot of Ironmaster gear in our home gym. It's a great combination of commercial quality but designed to be maximally space efficient for a home gym. We recently purchased two Ultimate Training Vests for my wife and myself. We both have been working out for decades and have a substantial home gym and also do a lot of running and hiking. At 57 I'm backing off the running some (I'm concerned about the repetitive stress on my joints) but still love being out on the trails and "embracing the suck" so we wanted to try Rucking. These vests are very similar to the Kettlebell handles in that if you own the Dumbbells and plates it doesnt make sense not to have these. I looked into the leading brand of Rucking equipment. The Ruck pack was about $250 and then we would have spent another $250 each for the weight plates. Almost a $1000 for the two of us. Well with these vests we got to try it out for $180 for both of us. Of course a weight vest doesnt have all the features of a rucking backpack but you can certainly get a feel for the experience and as long as you are staying local you don't need all the extra storage. In addition it will be great for "body weight" exercises in the gym which a Rucksack will not. Our go to Travel workout kit has been an Ironmaster Adjustable Kettlebell and a TRX in a milk crate thrown in the back of the truck. Im thinking these will get added to that kit.
Having never worked out with a weighted vest before it's a new experience. What I can tell you is these are fully adjustable and can be made to fit either myself (6 foot 185) or my wife (5 foot 6 and 130) with no problem. Im sure they could go bigger and smaller as well. We have been rucking a few times so far and it is an entirely new experience. Surprisingly it's not the legs or the cardio that is the issue. Rucking is way more upper body than you would expect. These remain as comfortable as a heavy weight on your shoulders for extended periods can be and will add a whole new dimension to your workouts and value to the Ironmaster gear you already own. We will eventually probably add some specific Rucksacks to our fitness equipment for longer Rucks but for the price, if you have the plates already, you just need to own these and figure out new ways to make your body adapt.

I have used this vest since the original version was first introduced and i couldn't be happier. Unlike most other vests on the market that have a fixed weight or are barely adjustable this one can be customized down to a single pound. If you own the dumbbells this is a must. My favs are being able to do weighted pushups, pullups and dips. Last but not least IRONMASTER's customer service is top notch which is something very hard to come by these days.

The weight sits up high for me. The vest feels short but I think they are supposed to be. Used it 2 times so far and a first time user of a weighted vest. Feels very durable and is secure enough for a short jog or brisk walks when loaded up. Here is something to note they rate it for 70lbs but each pocket is able to hold 2 x 5lbs which in the end is 80lbs total. so make sure to not over stress your vest by mistake. It may hold up but there is a reason they reduced the rating likely due to premature wear and tear users experienced. unless you are fairly strong donning this vest fully weighted is a challenge so you may need some help loading the rear plates. The velcro straps hold strong, the extra thinner strap I have not found a need for as of yet but I also have not used this vest a lot nor have done any runs with it. Brisk walks, stairs, squats and some jumping around. I hope it holds up a long time. It is winter here and I still work up a sweat quickly in this so will be much worse in warm months. Breathable and durable enough for 70lbs don't exactly go hand in hand.

Another accessory I wish I got years earlier. I wasn't sure how well it would fit, I'm a 5'3 female with a large chest but it's fine.

I'm super glad IronMaster came out with a product that allows you to get more value out of the Quick-Lock Dumbbells. I'm still a fitness novice, so there are a lot of spare plates lying around for the dumbbells. It's great then to be able to take those excess plates and throw them on the weight vest to make cardio more intense. The vest is an awesome way to work out outside of the home gym, as you can wear it anywhere, provided you don't mind people staring every now and then. As others have stated, it's made very well, encompassing the durability that is well-associated with the Quick-Lock Dumbbells.
My only gripe is that the initial vest, before it went out of stock, was primed to handle 80 pounds, while the current iteration can only handle 70. It's not a deal-breaker any means, but I would've liked to one day handle the extra ten pounds!

....for a vest like this. For some time now I have been searching, mostly casually, for a weighted vest that fit my needs. I could never quite pull the trigger - whether due to price, appearance, or reviews - but I took it as a sign when the IM email listing this item popped up. It has provided convenient workout density, and the ease of changing the weights has allowed for my wife to utilize it as well. The vest feels bulletproof, and much like all of the Ironmaster products I have purchased over the years (im2000, cable tower, multiple benches, several sets of of DB handles, plates, accessories, etc.), the quality if fantastic.

I combine traditional weight and body weight training in each of my workouts. I have been using this vest for my pull-ups, push-ups, dips and inverted rows. It is extremely comfortable to the point that I don’t feel any restrictions while using it. It has allowed me to make my workouts more challenging. The ability to add my quick lock plates gives me a lot of versatility in terms of adding weight in small increments and it saves me a lot of space in my home gym. Thank you Ironmaster for another great product!

I've had several other weight vests using Olympic plates, "sand bags", etc. But none is as comfortable or versatile as the Ironmaster vest. The convenience of being able to use my Quick-Lock Dumbbell plates makes it that much better. The vest is very breathable, highly durable, extremely comfortable, and the Ironmaster logo patch completes the impressive look and style.
I always look forward to new products developed by Ironmaster, who has a stellar reputation for quality, value, and customer service in the home fitness world! Great job on this vest!

Like IM’s DBs and KBs, here’s another ultra-versatile product. Whereas most weight vests are fixed weight or have just a few levels available, this vest is customizable in 2.5lb increments all the way up to 80lb. Fits well, easy to change weight, and seems durable enough so far. If you already have IM weight plates, then this is a no-brainer addition to your gym.

I’m sure this vest is more for weighted pull-ups and dips. I am actually using it to add 20 to 80 pounds to try to burn off some extra calories when I go for a walk down the street. Trying to lose an extra 30 pounds and hope this will do the trick.

I recently purchased the "Ultimate Training Vest," and I am thoroughly impressed by its quality and functionality. I live out in the country on very rolling terrain with some pretty steep hills. "Hiking" these hills while wearing the vest has become a challenging but rewarding cardio exercise. The vest also works very well for adding weight to bodyweight squats.
Moreover, I finally get to make use of all the weight plates that came with the Quick-Lock plate system. It's a win-win. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to others. The same holds true for all the Ironmaster products I have purchased over the years. I have never been disappointed.

Thankfully I bought my dumbbell/bench/accessories a few years ago (because they are hard to get now)! This vest popped up in my email and I immediately bought it. Very well made and sturdy, I use it during my morning walks around the park, to add some caloric drain and tone. Ironmaster produces quality, every product of theirs I own is top notch.
