Dumbbell Spotting Stand for SB/PRO

Lifting heavy dumbbells can be a challenge especially if you’re working out on your own. Trainers usually require a spotter to help ensure their safety until they finish their sets.

For this reason, Ironmaster has come up with a Dumbbell Spotting Stand for the Super Bench/Super Bench PRO so you can train with extremely heavy dumbbells all by yourself.

Like most Ironmaster equipment, our Dumbbell Spotting Stand can be adjusted in many ways. It works great with the Ironmaster Quick-Lock Adjustable Dumbbells as well as other dumbbells that can stand on their ends. This is a piece of must-have equipment for trainers who want to make their heavy lifts easier and safer.

Adjustable and user-friendly

Our flexible Ironmaster Dumbbell Spotting Stand is very easy to assemble and use.

  • The saddle height can be adjusted in increments of 2” starting at 21.5” from the floor to a maximum height of 37.5”.
  • To change the saddle height, just loosen the pull pins, raise or lower the saddles according to your desired height, then tighten the pins to lock them in place.
  • It only takes a few steps to assemble the spotting stand and all hardware is included for easier installation. Just connect the base frame to the uprights, then the saddle to the uprights, then lay your bench on the special frame yoke and you’re all set. You should be able to conveniently tilt the dumbbells out to facilitate lifting. Pro tip: Use lightweight dumbbells on your first use with the Dumbbell Spotting Stand to get your bearings.
  • The welded handles on the back of the saddles allow you to swivel them in up 45 degrees so you can set them at an angle that’s perfect for you.
  • The superior adjustability of our spotting stand makes it the perfect companion for your solitary dumbbell presses, regardless of whether your bench is on a flat, decline, incline, or upright position.

Durable and stable

Our reliable spotting stand is made of heavy-duty materials to ensure balance, stability, and your safety.

  • It has a heavy-duty frame that holds your Super Bench/PRO on its base for maximum stability.
  • This spotting stand is very solid and weighs 68 lbs.
  • Each of the saddles has a weight load capacity of 130 lbs.
  • Overall spotting stand dimensions are 43.5″ W x 20″ D x 34-49.5″ H.
  • Inside saddle dimensions are 9″ W x 7.75″ D x 12″ H.

Versatile

Originally designed for use with the Ironmaster Quick-Lock Adjustable Dumbbells, our Dumbbell Spotting Stand can also be used with other types of dumbbells, provided that they:

  • Fit the saddles.
  • Are able to safely stand up on their ends.
  • Weigh a maximum of 130lbs each.

If you wish to use the spotting stand with spin-lock type handles, please contact Ironmaster for compatibility. If you want to use this spotting stand with a bar, please check our barbell adapters for barbell functionality.

Assistive and Protective

Our Dumbbell Spotting Stand was specially developed for trainers who lift really heavy dumbbells but don’t always have a spotter, as well as for those with arm and shoulder injuries. Whichever category you belong in, this life-saving equipment will help you get the job done.

  • Perform your flat, decline, incline and upright presses up to the maximum load confidently and safely, even without a spotter.
  • Ideal for trainers suffering from arm and shoulder injuries, our spotting stand can help you get into the starting position with ease. It can also make your training a lot easier for you.
  • Not only does it improve the quality of training for the injured, but it also helps decrease their chances of further impairment.

Note: The Ironmaster Super Bench/PRO and Dumbbells are sold separately.

Man what a great piece of equipment. I was somewhat ahead of the curve with the home gym thing but it’s always been difficult to do heavy dumbbell flys or even presses (particularly decline) without assistance &/or “setting” the dumbbells on the ground. The saddles easily accommodate my largest hex dumbbells (wish I had found IronMaster prior to getting a full dumbbell set). My only regret is not getting this sooner.

The dumbbell spotting stand for my SB is an excellent addition to my Ironmaster home gym! It has a ridiculously small footprint too! Going heavy and risking injury were always a reason I shifted away from dumbbell workouts especially chest and shoulders. Problem solved. Decline dumbbell presses are now not an issue. It also increases your awareness as you do your reps and limits any sort of wacky form to your dumbbell antics. How so? Even though you have ample room between the spotting stand and your full range of motion, the perception of making sure you are not banging against them helps with concentration and maintain a perfect/near perfect form. I have had Ironmaster quick lock dumbbells for years sitting in the dust and with the pandemic, its been brought to life and the spotting stand is something I could not do without!

The Spotting Stand is a game changer. The first rep doesn’t put all the usual strain on the shoulders. Decline presses are especially easier than whatever acrobatics are typically required to get into starting position. Easy to change height and rotation when switching between exercises. Even when the gym opens back up, I’ll probably workout at home on dumbbell day!
